PROFESSIONAL SERVICES: Registered Nurses (RN), including RN Case Managers who oversee and coordinate every element of a client's care. Their services include assessment of care needs, health care instruction, monitoring medication, wound care, dressing changes, feeding tubes, intravenous therapy, and other health services as ordered by a physician. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Provide dressing changes, treatments, medication, catheter care and observation of client's condition. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) Work directly under an RN and assist with all personal care: bathing, dressing, ambulatory movement, monitoring of vital signs, plus light housekeeping, meal preparation and laundry, as requested. Home Health Aides (HHA) Have the same training and perform the same services as CNAs, but aren't certified by the State of Arizona. Accredited Medical Social Workers (MSW) Assess clients' needs for other services and facilitate referrals to those that are available within the community. Registered Therapists Help clients attain their optimal level of activity. Physical therapists (PT) work with all body muscles, particularly the lower extremities. Occupational therapists (OT) concentrate on the use of the upper extremities for self care. Speech/language pathologists (SLP) focus on speech and swallowing functions. Home Care Aides Work under the supervision of an RN and assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, nails, etc.), plus do light housekeeping, meal preparation and laundry, as requested. These services are available for periods up to 24 hours a day and may also be provided on a weekly or monthly basis through our "Personal Care Package." Home Companions Prepare simple meals, assist with feeding, do light housekeeping, change bed linen, do laundry, provide and encourage social interaction. Also shop for groceries, run errands and may, under certain circumstances, accompany or drive clients to and from appointments.
